For straight-shooter Doctor Christina Henderson of Doctors without Borders (MSF), the welfare of patients always comes first. Dr. Henderson shed light on the plight of Haitians infected with cholera and highlighted the Health Ministry’s failure to deal with the crisis, just of many issues plaguing Haiti’s fragile healthcare delivery system. The Minister of Health Keqin Wei appeared frazzled, later requesting permission from the UN Secretary General to be seated at least 5 feet away from Dr. Henderson at the working group meeting to take place next week, as well to be accompanied by an armed security detail.
